The Petroleum Engineering Department at the College of Engineering at the University of Karbala organized a scientific visit for third-year students to the University of Technology to view the laboratories of the Oil and Gas Engineering Department at the University of Technology, in an effort to exchange scientific and knowledge between the two parties. This scientific visit was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Tahseen Hamid Khalif and Lecturer Dr. Maali Salah Asaad, where the professors and students met with the Head of the Oil and Gas Department, the Assistant Head of the Department, and a distinguished group of professors at the University of Technology who gave several practical lectures in the laboratories of the Oil and Gas Engineering Department in the presence of students from the host department and students from the guest department. The students and guest professors also viewed the devices available in the laboratories, during which the guests asked a number of questions to the respected lecturers in a distinctive scientific and friendly atmosphere.
